Junior novice hurdle races

Should be scrapped ffs
Run them in a bumper
The horses look like they don't have a clue in all of them

funny isn't it all this talk of welfare & they are nowhere to be seen over the main welfare issues

because that race, even without the carnage, risk levels are off the chart

had any of them even been schooled pre?

Animal rights lot asleep at the wheel with these races.

Terrible viewing, the grey horse couldn't have ever seen a hurdle before

Have to wonder about the trainer surely, if a horse acts like that when meeting a hurdle in the race...Lucinda Russell a supposed highly experience jumps trainer..?

The pace they were going to the first Hurdle was hardly fast enough to let them jump it. Schooling at home and jumping in a race, with more runners is totally different. There aren't many clean jumping 3 year olds

Just watched the replay as I missed the race and that can only be described as embarrassing.

Surely schooling also includes running and jumping with other runners, at least in part?

next time people tell you horses are bred to jump and love it ,would do it without a jock on top blah,blah
show them the last race ar wetherby today

Start off with poles, then probably barrels. I've never seen more than 2 schooling at a time.

It's a bit like going in the stalls. They go through the totally different stalls at home, no problem,  then suddenly they are being put in stalls they have never seen before with loads of runners.

The second was lucky to make it to the first Hurdle as well, was a decent sit by the jockey after the swerve

4 shorties at down royal and 1st 3 favs  in each reach never saw another horse in any of the 4 races,anyone liking the shorties most stress free  4 timer you,ll ever land

Fair weaknesses in the schooling model then isn't there?
