I remember it well. Brought wrestling to the watching public. It was on ITV supposedly as a rival to David Coleman & Grandstand on the Beeb. Eddie Waring & Rugby League was my first choice over WOS!

When the racing was snowed off they put on the dogs @ Harringay.
Usually it was Reg Gutteridge and Harry Carpenter doing the presenting.

I remember the dog racing when it snowed. Those were the days of just 2 channels in black & white. Unimaginable in these days of Sky, Netflix, streaming etc.

Bleak days indeed when you look back to crappy teletext service for results , hardly any televised racing , when it was on live rushing off to ski jumping even before the SP was returned and the extel blower with the final furlong taking twice as long as the rest of the race combined.
Crikey when you read it like that we've never had it so good , suppose it's the old saying though in what you've never had you've never missed.
