Johnston/Thomas made a great start. Horses fit and straightforward. Consequently, this is one backed from 5/1-5/2, and low and behold it's about as far from straightforward as you can possibly get. If in-running is your bag you would have been laying the crap out of it after a hurdle. No surprise that it eventually just tails off. You have to wonder what it was doing on a racecourse. I can't be buying the idea that it schooled brilliantly at home. Trainers must have more than an inkling of what to expect.
