I hope his gamble pays off. The alternative is almost unthinkable and possibly controversial.

I do not have any sympathy for horsey big spenders if purchases come up dudes. There are so many in the UK struggling to put food on the table for their siblings; kids in Gaza and Lebanon going without food, etc.

Impossible. You clearly must be,
I don’t think a frivolous betting forum is the best platform to preach to people about world suffering. |
|
By:
I'm not preaching. That's the last thing I intend to do. These mega spendings to keep up with the Jones' are usually by people new to the game with little or short history of wealth have a habit of going awry. Then the sh1t has tended to hit the fan.

So why are you so worried about ammo blowing their money.
Tried world suffering angle, now the new to the game fingers get burnt angle.. |

The one that bolted up today at Nottingham, Arctic Voyage, half-brother to Lady Bowthorpe and Group 2 winner Speak In Colours, a 'snip' at 85,000 gns. How de feck did he not sell for at least six figures with a pedigree like that?
Let me guess...he walked like John Wayne when he went round the sales ring? |

another £4.3 m for a colt for Amo.
|
|
By:
I wish AMO all the best. I hope these latest purchases perform on the track to justify their price tags. Hopefully, AMO could be a force to be reckoned with in the future to dent the dominance of the very select few.
|
|
By:
They only spent £11 million
A few footballers fees will pay for that ![]() |
|
By:
Might AMO "entice" a few of his footballing stars into ownership on a few of his latest purchases? It's considerably cheaper than gambling it away with bookies online.

AMO / Prescott sounds like a match made in Heaven.. [not]..

The fact that the top priced Frankel filly is being placed with Beckett, who'd previously had his Ammo horses removed, is a lesson that it's best for a trainer to smile and wish the departing owner the best rather than do a P T Walwyn. Varian will be watching on with interest.
And the top priced colt going to Karl Burke - am guessing this is the first time the top priced colt from any of the big sales has been put into the hands of a Northern trainer for 75 or so years. Maybe Elsey snr the last. Still, this owner likes a regular juggle and freshen up so highly likely more chopping and changing will occur during 2025. |

A right few trainer’s to mention…..what happened to the new kid ?
