How ridiculous, a 900/1 shot on the exchange at one stage winning a G1 10 runner race! Can't take this Arc meeting seriously from a betting POV nowadays.

The TV pictures told a very different story from the official photo! The still on the line from Sky showed Zarigana by at least a head so can't be on the line. Mehmas is a sire of 2yos I suppose.

Favourite just not good enough on the day. Bookmakers already laughing. Bedtime Story awful again. Didn't settle in the early stages, and too far back. Has done virtually nothing since all the Royal Ascot hype.

Why is it ridiculous? The point of Group 1 races for 2yos is to bring unrelated form lines together. The fav looked exceptional last time but it was only a Listed race. Form and reputation are very different things.

I didn't back favourite but thought she got a poor ride - too confident. Looks a good horse, the speed she shower, on that ground. to get to the lead was impressive but the effort cost.

Yeah, Soumillon knows how to navigate through a ploughed field, nobody better. So glad the NH season is nearly upon and this Arc flat carp can be put behind us, where punters can't even guess which horse will win of the stable runners, let alone the races...

Abbaye could be pretty interesting too with the quirky draw impact. You see Bradsell trapping and getting to the lead but running on fumes coming to the line, with a bit of carnage in behind. Low draw rags probably a touch of value. Believing obviously deserves it and seemingly has the draw today but it could get really congested for Billy if the horse is ridden as it usually is.

I'm going to Champions day, how late it is being run. Strangely even though the ground is often soft it rarely has the crazy results that Arc day throws up when its like a ploughed field.

Don't know if it's just the dreadful camera angles but the Abbaye always seems like a very long 5f, certainly tough to lead from start to finish. I really love Bradsell but it will be tough for him to see it out on this going.

tbf Sparrow, the logic I applied was as Makarova had been beaten twice by Brad and once by Believing, it was bound to win Actually I had noticed it had won well at Sandown on soft.

And again! Yokell beat a nostril. That is 6 seconds beaten in close photos I have backed this weekend. Just Bluestocking left today now. Needless to say my only "winner", Makarova was backed place only.

Soumillon quite interesting on Content. Can he settle her? Definitely the ability to win easily and the right jockey for this type of horse. Fallen Angel looks ready made for the step up but for me the going is a doubt.
