What if he had, happy to get your money back ?
|
By:
I think it ought to be money back given the player did not start. Anyway, he was 1.9 here.
|
By:
As it’s meant to be a fun enticement bet.A min mins played would have covered it.Say 45 minutes.
|
By:
Had he had a shot on target and you were getting your money back, you both would be on screaming against the books.
I'd you don't like the price or ruling don't have the bet |
By:
Why place a bet on a guy who starts the game on the bench?
Wouldn't that be malignant dumb? but then again happyformby regularly expects team to thunder other outfits before he sees the team sheets |
By:
Leif is correct imo. Line ups are announced well before kick off. No need to place that bet beforehand.
|
By:
As Kenbo knows i know zero about soccer but punting without knowing the guy was starting is just pure guesswork , he could have come on 3rd minute or 90th and not a soul would know that at the start.
Conclusion : Costly learning experience for the OP |
By:
Take all the arguments onboard.Had the bet 9.41 as was going out and wasn’t sure what time I would get back.
Got back 12.40 couldn’t find the rules so assumed would be void. Live and learn. |
By:
Very fair points from all of the above three.
|
By:
There isn't such a thing as a free tenner, however inviting it looks
|
By:
Was all over the Internet since yesterday that he was benched today.
|
By:
If so, a sharp practice by the bookie concerned.
|
By:
Which bookie was it? Denise's?
|
By:
The tw4tter boys didn't confidently start the speculation until this morning.
Fantasy football content creators were on it around 10 am onwards advising their followers to heed the advice given the FF deadline which was at 11 am. A cautionary tale to await the official line ups which occur 60 mins before kick-off before embarking on footie betting. I'd go far as to say to wait until teams have finished the pre game warm ups that take place just before kick-off. Players can pull a hammy during this time-frame and fail to make the starting line-up. |
By:
I'll not play unless I can cover myself here just in case.
|
By:
With respect impossible multi million companies don't deliberately look to sharp practice bread and butter customers you need to be to qualify for concessions/enhanced/boosts anyway in general , if as suggested by someone this guy was evens from 1/2 so effectively they're only giving a fiver extra to those that qualify if the max is a tenner.
There isn't a major bookmaker out there who would sink that low intentionally and these firms in competition always like to put the more generous boosts offers out late on Friday for Saturday events to hopefully attract some new blood in addition to rewarding loyalty. I'd go as far as to say they'd be disappointed the guy didn't start as it cancels a positive with a negative , which is the last thing they want when offering concessions to the area of customer base they want to accommodate. |
By:
I agree Haydn which is why I thought it would be voided
|
By:
I looked, and the same bet could be had here at 1.82, but not sure where.Anyway, the difference was insufficient for an enticement to play.
|
By:
|
By:
Had it won (and the bet was voided) then this thread would have existed. How dare they void my bet just because he didn’t start.
I think he wanted a freeroll. Pay out if it wins, void if it loses. You spout some bollox, Imp!!! |
By:
the player could be coming on in I njury time or when a team is down to 10 men
|
By:
So what it's part and parcel of football.
|
By:
He could still have had a shot on target,
|
By:
We are talking about today and 100% 1TP you would have been first on if he hadn't been paid and the bet was a winner
|
By:
Correct SK
|
By:
if a player was considered evens in these super boosts ,what price would he be if he was a SUB, if bookies have their boost as not in starting 11 an hr before game, they take the bet down, tacit admission the player starting on bench isn't a superboost
|
By:
Diaz didnt even try a yard today...
|
By:
He could have came on for an injured player in the first minute
|
By:
Using your logic
No one forces him to bet it |
By:
After the line up was announced they did remove this boost and changed it to Gakpo
|
By:
Thank you

Which bookie allows one's bet to run on even if one's selection is substituted post starting at the off? For instance one's selection is Salah. Salah was substituted (injured or otherwise), and the same bet goes on his replacement till the end of the game.
Today, 'Denise's was offering Min Huna 4-places at 6/4 (from 4/5) - max £10. Here was 2.1. This was worth the effort unlike 'sly,250p. 's kenbo', same to you too. You're ignored for being infantile and cantankerous! |
By:
Infantile and cantankerous. Not words commonly used in the same sentence!
I’m sure there’s a few on here who would agree. Unfortunately their opinion would be worth very little! |
