Beating a useful yardstick in Poker Face like that on going that horse relishes is G1 winning form. Imagine if this horse ever learns to settle.....

It would be good if posters named the horses they were speaking about.

It`s like a riddle among a riddle for posters looking in hours later.

Shown as a colt in Racing Post and well bred. He would be worth more than 10k as an unraced stallion! Now has to be north of £500k.

I suppose that any horse that had not been able to run at 2 or 3yo for what ever reason would need to be moved on from Coolmore but I am amazed that nobody from abroad was willing to take a punt either as a stallion or just hoping he came good (as the current owner did) for more than £10k.

Didn't Marcus let a Hamdan horse go as a 2yo and it won a classic?

Poker Face - not as good as he was

Ice Max - ran like there was something wrong with him

Task Force - hated the ground

The time comparatively wasn't great, and he might have been on a better strip of ground too cuz the Cole 2YO who raced down the centre produced comparatively the best time on the card.

So I think it's fair to say a poor Group 2, but fair play to them on unearthing a bargain who's now worth a considerable amount more than what they paid for him.

Quite surprising he didn't go to one of the sons. But given how he still is on the track, must have been a tearaway and expected to need gelding.

Completely disagree with you on that, GB.

His seasonal debut run, giving weight and race fitness away to Charyn on going (Gd-Sft) that still wasn't soft enough for him.  Ran back to that level on unsuitably quick going in Ireland LTO and he ran right up to form yesterday holding the 3rd comfortably. Admittedly that one is only G3 class. Ice Max needs a sharp track (He has a huge class edge for his Bath win) so you can strike a line though his run.
It's all good though, I hope punters underrate him and I'll get a tasty price about him on Champions Day (Surely they supplement him for the QE2 stakes)

Winner has done OK though and he only got on top close home, he also had the benefit of race fitness too. So, I'm going to suggest PF is still a very smart horse and no doubt they will be trying to go back to back with him in that G2 he won in France last season. As for that last race at Nemmarket....it now looks like Simmering had an impossible task in Ireland LTO Plain

I think PF is very solid G2 horse but I'm not sure what he can win this season? I'm guessing that race yesterday was his main aim and I'm sure they had him spot on for it. The winner is very exciting IMVHO.

I had a good bet on PF at Goodwood and thought he was disappointing there.
