After being interviewed, the rider was suspended for 3 days and was not entitled to a riding fee.

Not aware of what mitigating circumstances may have been at play here, but surely failing to weigh in is far far worse than easing down early?

unplaced by conventional place terms which I'm sure I've seen before is the guiding principle. yes, some books offer all kind of place terms.

I would have said prize money is also considered with regard to placed horses.

doesn't the CoS only ask a certain few? maybe he didn't call Ghiani, not that he'd admit it. fwiw I think all should weigh in to prevent cheating in other ways
