I’m a big supporter of the world pool, I can see it gaining a massive following as the prices are generally larger than sp and some can beat bsp, I use a lot on course as it beats course books easily, I find it suits outsiders and not familiar names as those from abroad don’t know, all we know so we have a advantage especially on all the forecast/tricast/ speciality bets it can be a massive difference, lot haven’t caught on but they should do as any advantage for the same bets helps, betfair does tote it’s hard to find but it’s there

The only way the TOTE including the world pool beats on course books or otherwise is generally through outsiders at SP and therein is the difference between betting at the best price obtainable against betting at SP, no serious punter is ever going to prosper long term betting on SP or even BF sp.

More World Pool at The Curragh today...I understand there's huge negatives about massive value for punters and racecourses receiving lots of money but I just can't see it I'm afraid

... You forgot to mention the Tote shareholders profits.
Why is it still called the Tote when 95% of results are the same as Sp. ?? Some right strokes being pulled at Tote Towers which will no doubt come to light eventually.

The main negative is the tote closing so many accounts, restricting access to some of the pools.

Not all world pool is available in the uk without a tote account. Given how quick the tote are to close accounts, it is no surprise there is so much negativity. That and all the seeding, being an SP only bookie, and some of the dividends can be a bit rubbish too with the high takeouts.

What do the HKJC think about the tote going out of their way to stop UK punters betting into the world pool ?

.... Surely not Rooster, it wasnt long ago that Berksy said the Tote dont restrict accounts and " All winners welcome " ?

I am sure he will be along later to explain this anomaly.

It wasn’t restricted for winning, it was restricted for having a go!

Not even restricted, shut down. If they restricted to even £200 per month they would be well within any limits still, and the punter could either deposit monthly and save up for something like Ascot or Cheltenham, or they could try and get lucky and not withdraw any winnings if they do.

But they don’t even allow that, go well beyond their remit with regards to safer gambling, and close accounts. This makes it impossible for some UK punters to access all world pool events.

It's disgraceful customer service, from what is turning out to be a disgraceful outfit all round.

99% of bets/people not 99%  of the tote turnover are place by people placing them due to convienance with them been placed in bars, near seating area,s at racetracks etc, etc, none of these 99% getting a return are bedwetting about value/best price  etc

Why is the Tote being linked with  " For Sale "  rumours if all is as rosy as berksy says. ??

Hope his job is safe. ?

Revenue into foreign pools down. Total wagers down but no surprise there given the industry's approach to closing accounts in a bid to increase profitibility via mugs.

You dont need to be Einstein to see that folk arent going to play with a stacked deck. All this " Guaranteed Pool " Bo locks isnt fooling anyone, the moment they started betting into their own pools the product became soiled.

The tote has been badly soiled, there is no doubt about that.

UK Tote group may have lost 13.5M

But that doesn't take into account the profit the pool manipulation company makes
on the millions of tickets they buy every week.

I don't know if it's legal for the main tote to sell placepot tickets for less than the 73p value
but if it was it would be a nice way of reducing the tote's tax bill by deliberately losing money
to their manipulation arm.
