i know RTV say it's the local exchange...

but i'm not so sure tbh coz this is hideous tbh.

and why is it only at Down Royal ?

Same here, but strangely it has been fine on other sites. Something strange happening on here at Down Royal.

Won't be any use but just in case , using 1G Virgin , good quality laptop , Microsoft Edge browser and live in NW England.

there is definitely something seriously wrong somewhere along the line for me regarding this...

and other folk have said the same (even tho it ain't affecting most)...

not got a clue how to solve it but it's bl00dy annoying.

The 5.00 race was fine.

so i emailed the RTV lads...

i switched browsers...

ran cc cleaner...

and the DR 5:00 played through without any issues...

it's all just a bit too weird for my liking...

i hate banging on about this but it's not as if i'm on dial up...

i'm on Fibre to the green cabinet and copper up to the house...

getting 25mbps upload speed...

and even when i tried neighbours 256mbps full fibre it was pausing...

i know the RTV LV is ultra low latency but why it only affects a few folk is beyond me.

Not sure what's great or not so great but......

todays DR issue is different tbh...

races shouldn't just completely bomb out at halfway imv...

and then when you reload it it carries on...

i know the Packet Loss thingy could be one of the issues but there's got to be more to it imv...

something somewhere ain't right...

i've videod it so hopefully the RTV boys get back to me (probably Monday) and i can pass it on.

Brother in law has worked in the PC industry all his late working life and is in Germany one day then maybe Portsmouth the next stop , travels all over teach staff how to install new products etc.
Mentioned to him last week i knew a few lads getting video interruptions and he said if it was Virgin i'd be amazed because of the way they feed but anyone else i wouldn't be surprised as outside Virgin the consistency is not what it should or could be , didn't finish the conversation unfortunately enough to elaborate as got distracted but will have to ask him again what he thinks , he's in Ireland at the moment installing new products.

He said with tongue in cheek he'd pay for a slap up meal if i ever get jitters on my Virgin , suppose that's meaningless if you get them next door though.

i clicked on the race...

i currently have the blue scrolling bar thingy in the middle of the screen waiting for the race itself to load...

it did it for at least 30 to 60 secs...

and it eventually loaded up...

that tells me the actual LV product is stuffed...

so RTV might well be sending a good feed but when LV gets its hand on it something is screwing it up imv.

and nobody can tell me that just about every race at DR today has bombed out at halfway...

and it's the fault of my local exchange...

and that is the only track this has happened at ?

why it doesn't affect everybody is the Q.

the LV not loading for ages issue...

and today's DR bombing out at halfway issue.

I kid you not i've watched all the Irish racing on BLV today as i've got something else running on the TV , the time it takes the blue bar to load has been no more than FIVE secs , to be exact i'd say average 3 secs.

Where that leaves you i've no idea mate.

oh i'm not disputing some folk are having no issues Hayden...

that is obvious coz if everybody had these issues i assure you this place would be full of it...

it's clearly only happening to a small amount of folk (which is strange in itself tbh).

Kempton 5:55 loaded up within 2 seconds...

so why did the Kilbeggan one take about a minute ?????

bombs out completely after 100 yards...

i reload and it stalls completely after about 2f...

goes to a black screen and reloads itself after about 10 seconds...

all fine after that...

i mean c'mon that's not my exchange...

the only track this is happening at is Down Royal today ?

so how does my local telephone exchange know when it's a DR race ?

Not just you this time, Hibby. RTV streams have been a bit temperamental for me also the last few days. Not loading straight away and cutting out in the middle of races.

No, it has all been fine since then without doing anything different.

coz after the 5:00 i've had issues with the next 2 races.

this whole thing is way too random for it just to be down to individual circumstances regarding pc/internet speed etc...

i mean jamee was telling us he had good equipment yet he's been having issues this week and this DR issue today...

it's all very very strange if you ask me.

i asked RTV and they said there were no issues with the Down Royal feed whatsoever...

you asked me to try the RTV LV on my phone but i can't get the DATA to work so i'm wondering if you have tried it yourself ?

the RTV lads were asking about it...

i had no glitching whatsoever on Sunday at York so not sure if anyone else did or didn't ?

i can't get my head around it at all so i'm just going t have to put up with the glitches altho i must say the total bombing out at Down Royal was not good at all...

and t wasn't just me who got it.

any feedback would be appreciated and i will pass it on to the RTV lads who have been very helpful but if they can't see an issue with the feed then i'm not sure what else they can do tbh.

I don't remember any particular issues yesterday. It doesn't bother me that much, if it doesn't load then I just load again until it works. I don't ever get any significant issues with buffering since I moved to Firefox v123.0 earlier this year. There was a couple of tracks last week where the stream ended in the middle of a few races. One was Down Royal, I'm afraid I don't remember where the other one was.
