Already had a massive shock in the 1st game with Georgia Tech holding off Florida State.
SMU was almost another at 1/50…everything they could go wrong went wrong and Nevada ran them ragged for 3 quarters…even had a player ejected for spitting. But some how they managed to string some drives together and got it done.
But looking at the fixture list there’s a stack of teams this Saturday between 1/500 and 1/25 that probably shouldn’t be anywhere near that small.
I’m pretty sure you can blind bet a few outsiders and get a pay off.
Roll Tide.

I say hats off to the 2% that make the game pay by discovering a way to succeed , whatever it takes
I'd have thought that over 80% of the remaining 98% wished they'd never placed their first bet.
The remainder i'd say good luck to them if they're happy to flutter for what they view as a reasonable value of entertainment.

Fair play if a guy wants a bit of fun and a fiver here and there, fair play if all the single fivers adds upto £3 miilion pounds, but respect is earned not just given, if he is not right in the head we can’t just stand by and listen to his shyte as he said

all were big winners at one time
you can win modestly if you are granite, disciplined and patient. im talking i/r which i know aint your fing, but its the best chance anyone has, despite associated nonsense

every punter /spots fan in the world could see the stars had aligned on steroids, seeds dropping out injured, getting beat, right side of the draw ,others beaten the seeds on your halve of draw for you, when Emma radacu Won USA grand slam and she,d never win, reach a final ever again, but Andrew castle and UK tennis pundits were telling us 24/7 she,d be a multiple grand slam winner on multiple surfaces, now 100,s defeats and a dozen coaches later ,they've all gone very quiet

Being able to cope with how good you are/might be takes longer with some people.
Some just change having won and the drive is gone, fulfilled.
Sport, a game played between the ears.

Nowhere near good enough would be my take on this despite the 2021 triumph , when you analyze that year which was during the height of covid the standard required comes under severe scrutiny due to either top players either missing or not being anywhere near 100%.
Raducanu had to win 7 matches to win the trophy that year and was a qualifier herself. She beat 5 x unseeded players , one ranked 11 and one ranked 17 to lift trophy. Basically the draw just fell apart for one reason or another.
Since that tournament she's played in 8 grand slams , reached the 4th round once and failed to reach the 3rd round in the other 7 , doubt there are any valid excuses left as they've all been used .
Good luck today all

Not really excuses, just things that hold her back.
She seems outwardly to be a good lass, but must be something holding her back.
Rivals will pick apart a player by stats, so youve got to have plan b, c, d, etc if you want to compete at top level.
She's injury prone, that's the problem. And likely difficult to work with and motivateNot really excuses, just things that hold her back. She seems outwardly to be a good lass, but mustbe something holding her back.Rivals will pick apart a player by st
Her passive play / strategy does her no favours when playing anyone with aggressive intent , she had half the winners of Kenin but also half the amount of unforced errors which says a lot , similar stats wherever you look.
Watching as a neutral makes her a pretty bland player to watch.

There's a lot to be said for letting your opponent beat themselves, but, you'll catch somebody who plays well on the day, then you lose without being able to switch it up.
Putting pressure on opponents is pretty important in sport, and letting them play their game at higher levels is inviting trouble.

There's a stack of Group 1 winners we can name as well penzance and whilst agreed you can't take that away from them they're hardly memorable and generally win via circumstances.

Indeed Penzance, and if she's happy with one slam she has it and it won't be removed.
Sue Barker did well on her one.
Depends on Emma and what she wants to do, shes made for life whatever she does.

Would be weird if we all agreed but as an avid tennis follower/trader believe it or not i'd love to be proved wrong and if the day comes i'll resurrect the thread.

I think we would all love to see her win more slams.
She does have plenty of time but she's had months out of her schedule where she's growing and not able to play nor practice due to injury.
It's a difficult thing to get back into the swing of it after lay offs, but whilst growing makes it even harder.

Agree yhtl and whilst acknowledging she's only 21 unlike other sports you haven't as many future years to improve in this sport before a new wave of budding superstars emerge , most of the greats and multiple slam winners had already hall of famed themselves at that age by either winning slams or at least being consistently competitive.
Anyway only time will tell

Keith Deller was no fluke either. Beat the 1st 2nd and 3rd seeds. Dined out on it for the rest of his life, and one of the most memorable World Champions ever
