I have always thought that the BBC and ITV should produce the original clips themselves. They don't so full credit to people like this who keep the history of the sport alive.
Found a couple of things of particular interest, Blushing Groom's 1976 Papin win which I had never seen before, and Tromos winning the 1978 Clarence House. I think he won 10 lengths, but it looked as if it might have been even further. |

That was excellent to watch. The gravitas that BBC team added really added to the coverage and excitement of betting is not matched nowadays. Terry Ramsden's star was certainly shining bright that day; wore his top hat like a toby jug though.
