Audience will never get an easier opportunity (unless they put it in a seller). Firstly Kinross the likely big danger was withdrawn. Then Lake Forest, the next candidate with any realistic chance turned over in the stall and was also withdrawn. Audience still managed to get beaten by 3 horses rated 12-20lb inferior. 7 runners over 4 days of one of the biggest meetings of the year yielded 2 third places and one fourth. The yard are still third in the GB trainers champs largely due to the place money from older horses in several Group 1 and 2 races but they are hardly bulging with new talent.

yeah it flopped but Audience alone is not a barometer to judge stable form with. Even this season his form is bolted up / flop / bolted up / flop. Just one of those types that either does it easily or cuts out. I did take it on yesterday but the horse went nutso in the stalls.

Frankie is like Hamilton (F1) jumping ship at the right time. I remember Gosden was no match for Cecil and Stoute in their heydays. Maybe cyclicity applies to horseracing too.
