First race of the day, and really should be winning so why is it so weak? Bookmakers appear to expect a result out of the Murphy/Balding combination.

Winless since her debut but she's recorded some smart efforts, fourth in the Eclipse at Sandown before beaten a neck by Opera Singer in Nassau Stakes at Goodwood (9.9f, good to firm) 23 days ago. Holds very good form claims.

Filly against colts. A pro punter told me many years ago not to back fillies against colts at short prices. She is also relying on the last run for her rating when RPR went up 10lb. Did she really improve that much? Still my choice.

Thankfully, the 'good thing' won for punters. I count myself lucky as that could have gone horribly wrong. Terrible track position in a race not run at a great pace. Gets impeded and it gets beat.

Oisin did the same on Wild Waves who had to come from way back. I know it is hard in big fields but you will get stopped 80% of the time you try it.

Even bigger mess on Teumessius Fox and dropped his hands 2 furlongs out because no way through. Not sure it would have won. Still 2 wins on the day for the team and 2 more at Newmarket.
