So many do every day/race sadly - usually doesn't even get mentioned unless a big race...lost about 2 that did that yesterday in smaller races where I was backing the 3rd - they got 4th etc...

Agreed stu
Nothing will be done |

Absolutely right, placepot talking. Suspension? No chance.

Reg, think it often doesn't get as much spotlight as those that lose the win (e.g. Doyle recently). Less people care I guess. But still just as bad.

If you ran that race again you would get totally different results of Top 3. The second looked clearly best horse amd some in behind gave strange rides

Well done Greg, I think I understand
I had the 3rd in the Placepot so only got in because of Ryan not riding out, I'm sure he could have got third Only started the thread because I was concentrating on mine |

Glad this thread is here as I wasn't imagining it. Stewards seem to think it only matters when a jockey stops riding completely to take action. Minimum effort seems to suffice when finishing unplaced when you clearly should have been placed.

IMO riding out for a place is bigger problem than riding out for the win - because more of them commit the offense when it's 'only' the place...
|
|
By:
They just will not enforce that "best possible position" rule.
|
|
By:
yep, like you say, it's already in the rules they just need to use it!
|
|
By:
applying the rule would mean they'd be suspending big name jockeys...
no chance... bottle jobs. |
|
By:
Remember the last big profile one was SDS quite some time back - done for losing a place on the allweather I think. Not sure why they did then but not so much now.
|
|
By:
He got a ban iirc

I know where they will be riding out for every place....at Newcastle this evening!
