Proved a decent money spinner for the bookmakers since he won at Goodwood.
Pulled out yet again despite being jocked up for Saturday. Be interesting to know what conditions he actually wants.

I thought 7 furlongs and decent ground, exactly what he would have got at Newbury.
Like Midnight Gun smashed up today. The seven furlong course form reads well. but that was on good ground. Similar conditions and I would have backed him. Easy swerve given ground and price.
It's a tough old game. Backed the horse several times when he has been taken out. Midnight Gun totally stuffed and of course this one wins. Still not buying that he really wants soft ground. He certainly didn't travel particularly well, but everything seemed to stop in front, and he just saw the trip out better than they did. Let's see if he back it up.
