was like this before the start of Euro 2024, seat of the pants stuff when you jump in after a suspend and wait 5 seconds followed by another 3.

Posted about the variable 'treacle' running of the exchange a few months ago - seems to be on and off, but often just chuggs right up.

basically an 8 second suspend on live football

When it slows up for me, I close down by browser (Chrome) delete the cache and restart and then it is ok. Not sure if deleting the cache helps but seems a good time to do it anyway.

I clear everything at the end of every day and don't have this problem.

Does the 'speed up' last once you've restarted Brian, or only shortlived?

Yes Stu. I usually know it's my PC because I have at least 2 computers on at any one time so easy to detect one has slowed up while other is updating normally.

I think it's an interaction, with how BF servers use the computer storage - so yes cookie clearing etc can help, but really it shouldn't need to be done. And is timeconsuming if deleting passwords/login etc

I don't clear cookies just cache and history.

Presuming that logs you out of BF on that machine each time though?

I use c cleaner at the end of every day and it's done in a minute so why mess about during the day?

if the slowup happens midday (as sometimes does) what else can you do sparrow

It never happens to me, stu.

I log off before closing down the browser normally. It really doesn't take long and Betfair is next to useless without doing it.

Worth a try, cheers Brian

With 2-step (which I have) logging in and out regular is a pain, but fair enough if it works. Shouldn't be needed though, not with other sites even exchanges.

I can't believe people are logged in all the time on betfair or anywhere else.

Frustratingly slow compared to how it used to be

Ticking the box at log in saves you having to use 2-step on that specific machine.

Not all the time of course sparrow, but doing it everytime BF slowed down would be a pain for me.

I prefer to log out/in when I choose rather than randomly...

The only thing I can say is that I don't use any bots, just use the exchange manually.
