This government will be judged on the level of immigration - not net migration; we'd increase our GDP but what's the point if any increment in GDP is being used to fund the needs of an increased immigration eg welfare benefit, housing, etc. And, this is before the non-integration of an established immigrant community.
I think the Far-Right will not bring about a change in the direction of immigration. Only the locals esp the educated, the seniors and possibly retired former captains of industry could persuade this government. |

A security guard has told how he "jumped on" and took a knife from the knifeman.
The guard, who gave his name as Abdullah, 29, said he had worked in security at the TWG Tea shop for the past "seven to eight months". |
