just sat and said ahh well.

Was a bit, but slowly away, then pulled and went mid division and when he pushed the button and rode him out for a full furlong between the 2 and a half and the one and a half he didn't seem to be making any ground....then as you say it looked like he just said to himself ah well and then seemed to ease off, then thought I better ride this out. If I had backed it I would be a bit pissed off, lost at the start I think...strange ride sums it up.
