They've spent a fortune upgrading the Colwyn Bay / Rhos-on-sea beaches so they're now adjoined , lovely visit with Bodnant Gardens a walk away and Llandudno only a mile or so

Given the sea not been in for 10 years, cos they dredged the Mersey to enable cruise ships from the USA to visit the cavern club.southport clearly has the biggest and best beech. Plus red rum galloped on it.

Haverigg in south Cumbria has a lovely beach. Sea is a bit cold, lots of sandunes. A quiet spot if you like that. Can visit Wastwater too from there if you wish.

Elisjohn, I like the boat trips you can take from Bournemouth and Swanage piers. (and Poole harbour). Especially when the Waverley Paddle steamer is running. Lots of nice clean beaches around there. Swanage beach is very sheltered and the sea is usually calm in the cove which makes swimmng very safe.

Though hardly a bathers beach, Dinas Dinlle, a few miles south of Caernarfon, is worth a mention. Standing on the beach and looking to the right you see Anglesy nearby, with the Holyhead Breakwater Lighthouse flashing away as dusk descends. Looking to the left the Llyn Peninsula fills the skyline, while on a clear day, looking out over the sea, you'll be able to spot the Wicklow Mountains. Finally, turn 360% and you are faced with the impressive Snowdonia mountain range. Sadly, the only bar within walking distance is the one serving the local caravan site.
