No interest myself but judging by what people have posted on other threads BBC is the last channel you should be using for the Olympics , too much " pretendee " live apparently and Discovery+1 a better alternative together with Eurosport who have SEVEN channels on the event.

Good luck anyway   Happy

the discovery golf commentators are a bit iffy. tony johnstone and ali whitaker ok, but don't think the rest are very experienced. One was saying "matsuyama hideki" all the time. ok maybe there is some weird japanese name thing there, but everyone has been calling him "hideki matsuyama" for as long as he's played at the top level.

interesting dynamic with the leader fleetwood coming from southport and unsurprisingly distraught about events in his hometown.

FFS.

Disco+ has a special offer for the Olympics of £3.99 for the month and Betfair's sharpest minds and biggest hitters are reduced to whining about the BBC.

Actually, to be fair, it has not been too well publicised. You'd think after spending over a billion quid on the rights, they'd have mounted an advertising blitz but...

Wasn't a whine Ram on my part just saw a few comments on another thread and collectively duplicated them on behalf of others , in other words i've stuck my big nose into something i've no interest in anyway   Blush

No offence meant Hayden. Frustration is more with Disco+ who bought the rights for far more than the BBC could afford and then kept it quiet.

But also, WFM.

Looks a fair effort by Eurosport though using 7 channels without having to go behind any buttons etc

Been dipping in between both Eurosport channels and BBC. Yes, the BBC are showing some as live, 15-20 minutes after Eurosport have shown it live, but they've also shown a lot live, when there are GB medal hopes and what are seen as the Premier events.

UK viewers should be delighted they don't have to suffer RTE, which even before the rights issue always seem to just be a mix between talking pundits and ad breaks - they've over excelled themselves this Games with both of those.

BBC is ideal for the casual viewer though. To be honest if I didn't have BBC, I'd be more than happy with just both Eurosport channels.
