Thanks for that, MJK. This is why I wasn't happy when McNally was warned off. All it's done is made it so much harder for punters to work out where and when his horses are off. Like when Ithaka landed a gamble at Wincanton a couple of years ago, from Ryan Potter's yard.

It would have been a hell of a lot easier to guess the horse would suddenly improve if it had still been running in McNally's name. The fact that the Twiston Davies horse had green foam spewing from its mouth in the parade ring would have alerted us that something was up (the Twiston Davies horse duly ran as though doped and finished tailed off last). And it would have been less of a surprise when Robert Dunne suddenly pulled up the favourite while in contention on the home turn, leaving Ithaka to land the gamble.
