Been a failing of racing coverage in the UK for years, totally oblivious half the time. Showing 30 replays of the race before a head on is a constant annoyance.

How that horse was D.Q. I'll never know , I've seen horses brought fully across the track and nothing done , these two never even came close, an absolute disgrace and I had no bet..Joke of the worst kind, shameful.

Just seen the replay. No idea why that was revised. Will have to hunt down the head-on later. Will be interesting to see the stewards report.

Skelton had to marginally change course, racing is run in lanes after all....isn't it?

Extremely harsh decision.

Skelton was riding that winner for his life, i thought it was game over when he got obstructed by the faller 2 out, but as i say the stable money was on looking at his ride.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference after the final fence, involving the joint winners FLIC OU VOYOU (FR), ridden by Danny McMenamin and GET UP MUSH (IRE), ridden by Harry Skelton. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved FLIC OU VOYOU (FR)’s placing, as the gelding had made a mistake at the last fence, which resulted in Mcmenamin losing his irons and his mount edging right-handed into the path of GET UP MUSH (IRE), which had to be switched around the eventual winner and briefly lost ground in doing so. The interference was found to be accidental as McMenamin was quick to correct his mount, having briefly become briefly unbalanced after losing his irons.

That's on a par with the worst decision ever in racing , I have watched it back several times and see nothing that should have changed that result . Stewards will have to live with that as a testament to their stupidity ....

The eventual second need to appeal. Stewards decision sure to be reversed.

haven't seen the head on yet but from the main angle there's no interference

the horse in front was always hanging to his left if the stewards thought it was the minimal in terference that made skelton come down this near rail,instead of challenging on the outside, HORSE RACING AS A SPORT/JOB ISNT REALLY FOR THESE STEWARDS

all explained on course..still silly imo.

New rule just in. Any horse changing it's lead in the run-in is to be DQ'd.

the partition rail narrows the width of the track & FOV comes 1 lane off its line when over a length clear & skelton has to pull out to challenge
that's not interference

hard to say what is more ridiculous, the DQ itself or apiafi's attempt at justifying the DQ

Only had a silent stream & Hogarth with a double teapot in the winners enclosure the only indication there was a SE post DH declaration. Shocking decision.
