I have never minded Dave, but I have thought for a few weeks that he is not as sharp as he was, I am a good bit older than him so there is no hope for me.

He was the Racing UK pundit in the Racing UK hospitality room for RUK Vip ticket holders back at M Rasen at the end of 2022.
He was very poorly that day but had the manners to come around to each table and apologise for his below par performance. But later on he was outside and seeking a lift to the station for the train back home to London. He looked poorly dressed and pretty rough and I felt really sorry for him. After all, he had made the trip to Rasen despite everything and I admired him for that. A shame he is so unwell. I wish him better at some stage, although diabetes is an awful condition when he gets hold. |

I remember Nevison, when he was just a regular punter, and Richard Hughes were always smashed at the bar at the end of Great Yarmouth pier when it was the 3 day meeting in September. How Hughes rode the next day i'll never know. I don't think p1ss tests existed in racing back then.
