everything went wrong for the jockey, by chance or design, that is the question.
why would you do what he did on a 30/100 fav.
Marquands just said he thought Tudhope would lead them round ...

BULLET POINT wore earplugs throughout the race and permission was given for UNDER SIEGE (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that UNDER SIEGE (IRE), placed third, was slowly away and Trevor Whelan reported that ZAMBEZI DIAMOND, unplaced, hung left-handed.

unfortuately i backed both earlier(1.74 and 1.42) so pocket talking i suppose but agree with previous posters. Bold Impact seemed to be hard held by the line, so nearly caught out by not letting the winner get far enough ahead. Made no mistake with Under Seige though, immediately took pull to drop to last and then took another pull to drop it out completely, 3 lengths out the back. But we all know the skullduggery that goes on. We just hope we are not on the ones that are 'not wanted at the moment'. Expensive £3.5k lesson. Not the first time(with Spudcoke it is) and defo won't be the last(With Spudcke it will be lol)

Had a look at the 2 rides, he is very skilful and I used to avoid him and still do and I could see his hands, if you know you know and the races were worth 3k 4k on a quiet Monday night, so does it surprise me , no but he is very good and you’d have no chance of proving anything there as he’s a skilled jockey who knows the game and its very clever riding

most know that in Ireland novice hurdles its triers to the front and non jiggers out the back from the flag, Tudhope strangled the only just slowly away fav to make sure it was far enough back to then run it into the back of a couple just in case it thought of taking off. One of the clearest non triers you'll ever see and still some debate it.

then gets off it, walks into the weighing room oblivious of being injured and unable to ride it, then realises there's a furore brewing and remembers he was injured at the start of the race and that explains the poor ride.

Seems a no win situation for Danny at the moment , losing ride will be nothing to do with the horse's ability until he gets a couple of quick winners then the thread will obviously die.

There are 3 types of people in life. Some never get an opportunity. Some get an opportunity and squander it. Some get an opportunity and grasp it with both hands and run with it. Try to be in the latter group if you can. Lay Tudhope on shorties and run with it.

Which ones do we lay? Is it not fairer that the jockeys not be negligent or corrupt?

In the world of betting forums it'll never be possible to spot the difference between negligence and corruption , they're just words based on subjective guesswork.

If they investigated it and found irregular betting patterns from accounts one could connect to the jockey or yard, we'd have a good idea. Its not good enough that he can do what he has done, give an injury excuse to a TV presenter, come in and then give no mention of the injury to the stewards. You wouldn't see it in any other sport, but that's why the sport is dying, young people assume it's bent.

You lads make money from Racing punting, its great. I'm just a lad on a few days off backing a few horses. The same fellas would win whether it is bent or straight, I don't mind losing but please don't spit in my eye.

Agree with the betting patterns being more than a coincidence neill but just making the point that to the naked eye i'm 1.01 NOT to tell the difference between corruption and negligence , anyone that can is obviously a better judge than me or they prefer one over the other to be true.

Indeed Hayden, its only one race and if it makes that much difference to someone then they are staking too much and have bigger problems. Something about it just rubbed me up the wrong way. It just shows that pros backing horses must be granite to take these things in stride the way they do.

The stewards were aware of the injury, it was in the Stewards' Report - Tudhope had been signed off by the Racecourse Medical Officer before the next race.
