Giants Causeway,Kalanisi plus other stars...I backed Kalanisi...today's offering is utter drivel in comparison

As well as the TV coverage...CH4 at its best...on Youtube somewhere...today we'll have a poor race(City of Troy apart)being bigged up as wonderful by nauseating Chamberlin and full of"supersuperstars"by smirking little slug Weaver

Too early to say how good City Of Troy is but the Irish Derby suggested that he is a very long way clear of the 3yos. No evidence yet against older horses.

It's another Saturday of saturation over quality. At least City Of Troy turned up.

No decent older horses in the Eclipse. We will be none the wiser even if COT wins easily as to how he measures up against the best older stayers.

A very poor renewal indeed. If the supposedly wonder-horse City Of Troy cannot walkover these (despite the ground) eg at least 3l+ he cannot be lauded superstar status. These bunch of participants are close to pants category without meaning or sounding disrespectful.
Take City Of Troy out, and this race resembles a Gp 3 at best. Poor! |

He certainly didn't look very good today. Perhaps he needs every yard of 12 furlongs. Al Riffa gave him a fright and he is no better than a 114 rating. Without the 3yo allowance COT would have been soundly beaten. Still another G1 and £425k for O'Brien.

It's a shame King Of Steel is injured. I think the Epsom win of Auguste Rodin has more depth than that of City Of Troy.

Ghostwriter coulda collared it or gone down a head if jocked moved same time as C.o.T .. not sure the Frankel of Coolmore as Aiden reckons..

History tells us that it is a difficult feat, to win the Epsom Derby and Eclipse in the same year, don't be too harsh on CoT just yet.

Falbrav era was amazing ..:) proper horses..proper jockeys ..

History did not take into consideration the mainly Gp 3 contenders in this Eclipse renewal; CoT just managed to beat them.
