Overwatering by CoC messed up the ground at the last meeting when heavy rain arrived after the first race. Heavy rain forecast tonight and he is watering again!

What is wrong with Good, Good to Firm in places that they have to fook around with the ground? Disgraceful imo.

Good news for supporters of White Birch though!

Oh hang on, apparently a dodgy blood test has ruled him out.

Sandown latest: morning report
Going: Good, good to firm in places
First race: 1.55
Weather: With further rain due this morning conditions are expected to ease
Rail movements: 1.55, 3.40, 4.15, 4.50 & 5.25 +12yds
Non-runner: 2.30 4 Soldier's Heart

One hour ago from the live reporter, despite it raining all night and all morning, he still puts the going the same as yesterday although says "With further rain due this morning conditions are expected to ease". No fookin shyte Sherlock!!!

Why do we have such rubbish information from courses and trade newspapers?

Racing post live reporter is reporting "live" from the Racing Post offices.

Very sceptical about those reports. I just spoke to a friend who lives about 5 miles away and it has been raining all night with plenty of puddles on the roads; only let up about 8.30. More rain expected before racing. The Sandown grass/ground does seem to hold water, much more so than Kempton down the road.

From the BHA's update page:

30 minutes ago:

0.6mm rain Wednesday. Dry, breezy and windy day Thursday - 20 degrees. 5.8mm rain since 5am Friday to 9.15am. Looks to be easing. Further spells of rain expected overnight, before clearing to a drier afternoon Saturday.

I'm going today and I'm a bit hacked off with the crappy weather I must say.

It's dry at the track and the sun is trying to break through now so hopefully no more rain.
It's "Ladies Day" and a good few have made a sterling effort so that's always good news.

Tricky first race with all the amateur jockeys

Simon Walker used to be worth a few pounds in these races but not so much recently

Still might stick him in the Placepot at his double figure price

Dambuster, he did indeed meet trouble going up the inside about 2f out...

I backed him in the 4place and 3place markets, so just covered my stakes

In other news, there are blokes walking around with lipstick on and wearing fascinators.
I know I'm old school but that's really not cricket.
