Happens too often  - esp in Ireland! If a good horse like odds-on fav Daddy Long Legs is amiss, then pull it up but it was allowed to amble around, costing those who backed for win or place a fortune. At 1.16 for 3 places i thought amazingly generous and free money but 'they obviously knew.  Nothing will happen tho. It stinks

It's not right that he is seemingly allowed to sit up on a long odds on shot and come home in his own time. Either the horse is fried and he should pull up, or he isn't and should be ridden out to the line.

Tbf that went from 1.36 to 1.55 in 1 minute before off and then was held up (strange ride) and then pulled up!

It finished, not attempt to ride it out and 20L behind the field, yet didnt look distressed. I dont want horses  beaten up if clearly no hope - but this was nt the case evidenty.

Why anyone touches Irish racing is beyond me. As straight as Lombard Street in San Francisco, This race was another case of what I call Same Trainer Syndrome. Amazing how often it happens. The Boys in Blue used to be great exponents of this.

Come on guys we all know racing couldn't lie straight in bed and tbh that's the only reason i get involved in the sport whatever the country , if i knew horse racing would be kosher from tomorrow then my last ever bet would be tonight.
As for stating these things happen repeatedly why aren't you either laying short or backing big , don't tell me any of you are still reading a form book ffs , it's 2024 not the nineties.

Good luck all  Happy

Trainers and Jockey's probably have more "form" than the horses these days.

Agree barstool but that's the modern game and the punters that go skint will be the ones failing to adapt.

Have to remember though the unpredictability of sport has broken punters far in excess of any skullduggery , it'll never be an exact science as is the case with any other sport you can name.

Went into the third last in a perfect stalking position but came off the bridle soon thereafter after seemingly jumping it awkwardly.Thought it had hurt itself, but then jumped the last two.Odd.Hopefully the local Stewards will ask a few questions.
