Doyle must think he has gone to heaven getting such a great retainer after being eased out by Godolphin. 3 wins and 2 places for the main owner. I have been backing all of his rides for Wathnan place only apart from English Oak to win as it was a strong favourite. I will continue the policy for the rest of the meeting. Missed 2 good priced winners but I am happy so long as I get 2/1 and more a place. As for Buick, I was on for a place again as 1.85 a place seemed very generous for a 2/1 favourite. He should have won. Doyle was only 4th in that.

imo the horse never travelled..was nudging/pushing most of the way..was only 5-6L behind 3 out..was hard ridden from 3 out..stayed on well.. will be better horse over 12f.

Just never gave the horse any chance. Had he been positioned to win he would have won five lengths, that's how badly he travelled.

The ride on French Duke was also rubbish, made rapid headway 3f out, 10 wide around the bend.
