I was tempted as a long shot just for the colours but went for Andrew Balding e/w so of course it was fourth!

Those colours carried by a big priced winner at Newbury earlier, Monkey Island that was 80/1 SP as well.

Meehan often turns up big priced 2 year olds but like you said usually at Newbury

I had a fiver at 80/1 made up for the £200 I had on Cowardof, had a good day, just home, pint was £7.50, they wanted £200 for Moet or £135 for Veuve, shocking

Great to be there and back a winner. First time I went as a student from Reading (around 1964) it started raining an hour before the first and racing was abandoned!
