Absolutely, head and shoulders the best around providing its wanted.

By:
Fantastic, not for catching that 1!
By:
Agree ..can never get on the ones wanted ..only near misses but agree he s one of the best of a poor bunch atm..
By:
Can do no wrong at the moment.

"Oisin seems to be able to conjure up that vital yard in the last 10 strides" .Agreed sage, was just thinking similar. He is absolutely top class and does seem to just get better and better as you say.

Tbf though in context ..up againt Hollie,Tom and Jim in a battle to the line ...i would say the rag dolls Rosie and Jim from kids tv be stronger in a finish...
By:
no context needed, all 3 of those jockeys you mentioned are strong in a finish too
By:
Tom M and J Crowley certainly are not strong in a finish.. can be good positioning wise on a horse from time to time especially Tom who i like but defo like Hollie as strong as Joe Fanning and his kittens ...imv obvs..

Amazed that some people can seemingly avoid all the one's he loses on. In my opinion no more reliable than any of the others. Shortest priced ride of the day he got beat on. Let's see how many he chalks up at Royal Ascot.

By:
Nobody is avoiding anything here so why the amazement?
By:
a good jockey & riding v well this year

Why do some posters concentrate on the ones that are beaten? They all lose more than they win (25% strike rate is outstanding and anything over 15% is good) but it is how they win that matters. Regal Envoy was OK but won easily. The other 2 were exceptional as neither looked like winning 100 yards out.

Agree DD ..but i could be pocket talking as backed his first two..and not his successful 3 ... i did think his ride on the fav in the 2nd race was truly awful.. so i said id go in the next 2 as usually forum curse etc works like that and also being a mug punter couldnt resist but subseqent rides quite good although made to look much better v inferior weaker jockeys ..weakest going...When he first burst on the scene i thought he was The Second Coming..Kieron Fallon too but after his problems etc i think he s good when he wants to be and not bothered other times..bit like Moore.. he s defo one of the best around atm but not saying much..i hope Billy the Kid is the next big thing ..the corrupt sport needs a hero imv

Fair point Sageform..i think Leicester Square was a very good ride on his part... Tom s shoulda won...Quietness was what every jockey should try and do and get horse on even keel in a good rythme and wind it up...best horse in the race..Regal Envoy too best horse in the race .. so one very poor ride..one very good one helped by poor ride of rival and two point and shoots ya d expect any average jock doing his job to do ...but in an industry where so many are inept at their jobs looks very good ... good day at office for him tbf.. only jock apart from Buick i would part with monry to back at present so i do rate him .. especially when money is down..
By:
Buick has to ride the Appleby ones but Murphy seems to be able to jump off from Balding ones if he gets a better offer. Big help for a championship campaign.
By:
Yeah i agree ...think he wants it back after transgressions... i can never pick the right horse Oisin is on tbh.. getting lots of good rides .. i wish Goldophin give him ride on NS and id mortgage the house but as is .. small lumpy bet...

Excellent post race when being interviewed imo Yes and probably the best I've heard from any jockey. |
By:
What does that mean? None of them come out with anything worthwhile. You get paid/or not on what they do on the track.
Don't remember any coming out and confirming what a pig's ear they just made of it. Fallon made a habit of criticising himself, but only on rides he had won on. |
By:
Oisin has either become a different person or wears the mask well. Before he left for the UK people in his village had nothing good to say about him.
By:
Oisin was critical of himself yesterday when interviewed at Salisbury and said he should've made more use of the horse
By:
They might not have seen that interview on RUK which you refer to, in hell. I don't about those village people though
