Not quite as bad as Chic Colombine, but it will be a very long list over the season.

Had similarities to Chic Colombine as he didn't fight for a gap, but instead waited for another one, and by then it was too late. So thanks to Buick instead of going home with a 3/1 winner punters treated to a 25/1 shocker. Nice one Billy.

Not the strongest or bravest but worth noting when gets outside rides they usually run well.. id defo back him though over most in the saddle as better of the worst generation of jockeys i can remember... Hope Billy the Kid turns out special cos only Oisin/Moore id be half comfortable outlaying money on.. maybe Tom M.he s got good nous to position a horse through a race but wouldnt bank on him lifting one over the line like K Fallon back in the day

K Fallon, now that was someone who would rarely lose in a battle to the line. Sometimes miss his strength even on low grade horses back then.

Pat Eddery and Fallon drive, were certainly punters pals.

They all look good on point and shoot material which has been tuned to perfection by staff and top work riders….

Buick and Fanning are the worst two imo at bottling it regarding the tight gap situation….

There are a few females who are just plain hopeless…..

Rat-a-tat-tat I’m coming through days are gone…….the golden boys get away with it…

Could it be the fear of suspension and losing tasty financial mounts the deterrent for taking risks and incurring an enforced holiday? There are so many prestigious meetings coming up eg Royal Ascot, Curragh, Sandown, York, Goodwood and Doncaster.

You don’t get punished for going for a gap impossible…..footballers and formula one go for the gap if it’s there….oot ma way …..

Agree Formace Buick grade 3 ..yes Trident..ya knew getting strength to the line in abundance with KF especially if money was down...defo missed... nothing of his calibre riding now...would hope Billy might step up... not have strength of KF but maybe the nous of Frankie..Oisin was dreadful there on Strutusnine ..no money on but id thought he was gonna be the next big thing but was wrong..grade 2 maybe .

Agree with Form re bravery and going for gaps... think just not bothered.....Imp i dont think he could get NS beat but i wouldnt put it past him.. Henry only danger imv so small saver on that and as much as i can get on at decent price on NS .. need extra half point for Buick on opposed to likes of Oisin imv...

De Man, very valid and correct opinion about Buicks outside rides being well worth watching. Its clear that most trainers who book him for outside rides give him instructions to ride to win, possibly not the instructions he gets from Charlie Apples. Buick loses so many winning opportunities when backing out of the race if he gets tightened up or needs to go through gaps etc I cant make up my mind if Buick is a complete and utter coward in the saddle, or if he is riding to safeguard the horses welfare. Buick does appear to bottle it when faced with winning opportunities far more often than any other jockey, thats a fact.
