Especially when being ridden by an inexperienced jockey, even more so in a h'cap and the jockey has never ridden a winner riding against top jockeys but will make an exception for this horse.
Glor Tire 7.30 Leopardstown, a 3 yo filly of Jim Bolger. Has won both of her races with consumate ease this season by over 4 and 3 lengths on both heavy and good ground. Handicap mark has risen from 76 to 91 but gets in today from 86, so 5lb well in on future runs inc at Navan on Sat in a premier h'cap.
Horse looks well h'capped anyway today but Bolger has put a young lady on top expecting to provide her with her first winner and she can take another 10lbs of its back, so theoretically over a stone better in than official mark. I hear you say yes but she has never ridden a winner and is riding against, Whelan, Lordan, Colgan, Keane etc, jocks at top of their game, also horse drops in distance from 1m 1.5fs to 1m enough reasons to oppose a short priced fav surely.
Usually i'd agree with you but take a look at Glor Tires' last race a few days ago at GP, besides visually very impressive, the horses that came, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th had all won their previous races some quite easily. Bolger has got her jocked up again for Saturday so i assume he's confident in her ability to get this in form filly home from the front. 13/8 at the moment with 356 who throw the rag in with it at that price. I'll have to eat my hat if Glor Tire doesn't win but i won't be eating 155,000 of them.

Now don’t go putting your life savings on the filly, betting indicates a win ,but this is a handicap race, punter beware Laugh

I won't be putting my life savings on her Tanglefoot, not that daft but much prefer h'caps to have a bet on. Hard to say how the market will go with this one as i'm sure many will want to take this fav on with this young lady on board and the drop in distance, i think it's an odds on chance but could drift with the question marks against it.

The lass did well enough, was really a point and shoot job but importantly got the horse out of the stalls well, nearly got herself a double with the front running ride on Bold Approach earlier, wonder if horse will turn out again on Saturday?
Thanks all.
