All I could see was a couple of horses at the back of the stalls going round in circles. Some old sprinters who looked like they had never seen the stalls before.

appalling loading of Los Angeles in the Derby...they were afraid to get behind the horse

We have some of the best horse racing in the world. We also have probably the worst starters and stall handlers. This weekend was generally really poor. Obviously trainers have to take some responsibility. In a lot of cases though there appears to be apathy and lack of urgency by stall handlers and shear incompetence by a lot of starters.

Certain trainers horses never have trouble entering the stalls.

How tall is a horse?
By:
8st x 3 versus half a ton.
By:
and the half ton at it`s peak in life. No contest.
By:
Typically they load them one at a time. Why not two at a time?

Each course should have their own stalls, 50% wider than the ones we have at present. Carting a meccano set up and down the motorways is a nonsense.
By:
No worries mate.
When punters are on a losing run (which we all get) 90% raise their stakes to get their money back. BAD idea. When on a bad run, reduce one`s stakes, and bide your time. Increase your stakes only when on a winning run. I know that you don`t most folk on here do their own thing but just saying. Hope your luck on the nags changes soon. Be patient and you`ll bounce back. |

By:
100% Barstool. Stalls are far too small. Too claustrophobic for big animals like racehorses. Australia and USA much bigger.

By:
Thanks mac good luck with your Good Thing.

post time and 2 horses amble out of the parade ring and being walked to the start. Honestly, it is quite disgraceful. This race will be ages late off.
By:
if you cant canter to the post should be a non runner
By:
your right withdraw them
By:
and they should get rid of the stall handlers and get stall handlers over 16 stone look at the americans they get them in very quick i would bet 1/20 the americans stall handlers over ours
