I remember twice losing because a jockey failed to weigh in.

I had £20 EW 4 places on it, he is an unlucky jockey for me.

There is no excuse for it. God knows how it should ever happen.

Possibly one of the easiest ways for corruption too. Ride the winner and get your mates lumping on the second horse. Forget to weigh in and pick up some fancy prices on the amended winner. Not something you could do twice though!

Worst case scenario for a punter is if it's the last leg of a life-changing acca that wins, you immediately get on the phone to your boss to tell him that he's a c*nt and you won't be coming back, only to find out ten minutes later that's there a stewards enq' as the COTS has objected Cry

I feel a bit sorry for Rob (yeah, easy for to me say as I didn't back it), as the randomness of when it happens can mean missing Royal Ascot or a quiet week in mid-November for the exact same error, which seems ridiculous, so not sure what the solution is, perhaps making Group 1 days exempt from inclusion, but it does seem harsh.

They can put Trackers / GPS systems on Horses, maybe need to put them on the jockeys as well.?

I’ve got no idea of the circumstances of why he didn’t weigh in. I find it hard to feel sorry for him though. He’s cost a few punters money, no doubt could’ve been much more had he won. I think missing such a good meeting is pretty just. Not weighing in is inept at best.

Only a matter of time before Sky is responsible for a rider forgetting to weigh in or missing the time allowed (imo)…
