|
|
By:

Frankly my dear I couldn't give a Damned

total guesswork given the favs last run.
|
|
By:
Yes, total guess work re the Fav. Hopefully I can get a better price today on Ambiente Friendly. That was a convincing Lingfield trial winner.
|
|
By:
it was, but then the fav hacks up by 10 lengths and you feel like a noob b'cos the trainers been telling everyone it's the best horse he's ever seen. even though it was beaten half the track in the guineas and you couldn't go anywhere near it.

If City Of Troy had won the 2000 he would odds on today.
I can forgive horses a bad run. O'brien's record speaks for it self. Pull the Jolly out and its a lottery. No stand out nag in this field for me. If City Of Troy Bolts up not sure you will get 3/1 again in its career. ![]() Just hope that Idiot Acey dont go on here claiming its a certainty or Jinx it ffs. Guy is fookin useless n so full of it!! |

any doubts about the trip for city of troy guys ?
|
|
By:
Haven't heard it mentioned much, but isn't it 30 years now since they moved from Wednesday to Saturday?
|
|
By:
Good luck Foyles. I thought Chief Little Rock gave the form of yours a big boost when it won well next time out, but you're never sure how fit an O'Brien one is first time out even though it went off odds on. I don't think Bellum Justum got a mention on ITV Opening Show. Probably another positive.

thanks the wire also on ancient wisdom ,looks an open race revolving around city of troy he may win but enough doubts for me to swerve plus the price makes no appeal to me. if anyone can get him back aob would be the one but even if he does win there are places up for grabs

The Epsom Derby, a prestigious horse racing event, used to be held on a Wednesday for most of the twentieth century. However, the tradition of running the Derby on a Wednesday came to an end with the 1994 renewal, which Erhaab won. Since then, the race has been scheduled for Saturday afternoons. The decision to move the Derby from its traditional Wednesday slot was met with mixed reactions, with some considering it a mistake or even a catastrophic blunder.

So thats one person on the forum who actually thinks COT can win the Derby ( Mat22 ) thats fair enough, but come 4-35 I will put that number slightly higher. !
![]() Its what we do. PS, Acey you are wrong ( again ) about Mat22. |
|
By:
Funny race as its always guesswork to some extent
with course, and distance unknown to so many of the horses. I was surprised to see Kamboo entered as I thought it would come out in some mile or mile 2 handicap and dot up as well backed Fav. What's it doing in derby? 50p ew on the chance it's a good un at 110 |

Good luck Foyles.
Went for the top weight Ambiente Friendly eachway Liked the way he skipped around that bend at Lingfield and then the acceleration from the 10f mark to put the race to bed. Epsom + 12f won’t be an issue. Not worried about the negatives i.e. Maybe too keen…Havlin is experienced enough to keep him calm going down to the start and then you have the bigger field & stronger pace to help him settle during the race. And the form with Ancient Wisdom who beat him 5 lengths at Newmarket. That was only AF’s 2nd lifetime start…it’s a little unfair to hold this against him because he could’ve easily have turned around that difference between then and now. |

had a fiver each way (first 5) on the 2 balding runners ridden by Murphy and marquand both decent jocks and both nice prices

What's the prediction written on the well at the local pub by the gypsies? People say they have "the gift" but what they don't realise is that they've been up all night studying form and pedigrees.

Interesting to see if something gets away from the front and stays there. Certainly seems to be a benefit there this week to be up with the pace.

Los Angeles will do for me.

LA has his pace setter from the last race to work for him. Unbeaten, improving and looks like he will get the trip. In a funny race he looks ok at 6-1.
