Can't be bad Derby Day off, ronnie

Must tell you something when you compare the different working days in the life of ronnie......
Derby Day = day off Grand National Day = ordered Latte & Bacon / Sausage baps for all the staff after doing a deal with the local shop and the staffing levels were probably doubled. That will never change or be replicated whatever the popularity perception of the Grand National ![]() |

The naked truth is the game was 'gone' years ago but the introduction of crack cocaine machines with their guaranteed cut saved the day, otherwise shops would have disappeared en masse.
The young uns have zero interest in writing [or even tappimg out] wagers that last longer than the time it takes to spin a reel or a roulette ball. There wont be a single stand alone betting shop visible before too long. it's just buiznezz. |
|
By:
It's just all online now, if the betting on the Derby were done, Betfred wouldn't be putting up 1.5 million tomorrow. Betting shops are for dinosaurs and criminals.

I think Stevie Wonder and the guy from Peters and Lee could see that. Hope you are well. Ronnie. |
|
By:
Ronnie- we all know that but why can they still put notes in the fobts, are they exempt?
|
|
By:
Lady C.
They have to put a certain amount into a fobt before it tells you to monitor them that's why they play 3 machines at once. Ronnie. |
|
By:
Thanks Ronnie- These guys can rush their money through and no checks while decent guys can't get a bet on, sign of the times as prince sang in the 80s
