That was a class performance by the winner. The 2nd ran as well as he could. Winner has improved big time from 3 to 4yrs old

Got Passenger at decent odds for POW
Let's hope WB doesn't go RA .. ![]() |
|
By:
Can't see him running in the POW unless there's soft in the ground which is unlikely. Champion Stakes at Ascot in October screams out, maybe with the Irish Champion as a prequel. Before that, assume will be so ground dependent.

Big improver. O`Brien`s horses look bang average compared to what we are normally used to.

White Birch a second inside standard
![]() Over 4 seconds outside for the 1000G which probably reflects the steady-ish early pace. Then not a bad time for the 10f G3, 2.63 secs outside. So ground probably not too bad, maybe just on the easy as good, which is what they changed it to. |

White Birch went past as if A Rodin was a statue
.... so it must be a contender for the best named horse in training ![]() |
|
By:
But it's not as if he was outpaced by the good fractions, he was always travelling well, and when AR moved up 3f out, he was sitting easily behind him. If there's a bit of cut in the ground, i see no reason why he'll necessarily be better at 12f than 10f.
