Cant get my head round the situation this weekend six flat meetings on Saturday but none on Sunday, only three jumps meetings.

Top jockeys need a rest day so those struggling for rides also have a day off 
Sparrow is right, top jocks need a day off. It really should be providing opportunities for lesser or younger jocks but no one cares on the gravy train as it makes them no money.
With six flat Saturday an unfashionable jockey has more chance of rides as jockeys cannot be in to places at once, and are only allowed to ride at one meeting. With three flat meetings on Saturday and three more ftat on a Sunday the journeymen jockeys would struggle more I think.
