You're right about Tim not having many 2 yo winners especially before June, inc this year hasn't had a single winner from 128 runners before June. Did you read this post from Kingsnake5 though.

Sands of Mali is fairly unique these days in being a true outcross ie he has zero duplicated ancestors in the first 5 generations of his ancestry. I hope and think this will help him become a outstanding sire of precocious fast 2 year olds and at the same time **** a snoop at all the droning on line- breeders and bloodstock agents claiming inbreeding to this or that fashionable sire and other nonsense

Sands of Mali hasn't had a winner yet from just 7 runners but did have a close 2nd on GF at Doncaster recently, Sands of Mali won on all types of going inc a close 2nd in G1 on GF 6fs and the dam won her only race on GF over 6fs, food for thought.
