SECOND LEG OF THE AMERICAN TRIPLE CROWN THOROUGHLY DESERVES A FRED GIVEN THE HISTORY OF THE RACE.

CAN MYSTIK DAN - THE KENTUCKY DERBY WINNER - FOLLOW UP AND NAB THE SECOND JEWEL IN THE CROWN?

HIGHLY POSSIBLE AS IT DOESN`T LOOK A GREAT RENEWAL OF THE RACE AND WILL HAVE IT`S SUPPORTERS.

WORTH FAVOURITE INDEED BUT I OPT FOR A SPORTING WAGER ON BRAD COX TRAINED CATCHING FREEDOM TO TURN THE TABLES ON THE FAVOURITE HAVING FINISHED ABOUT 2 LENGTHS BEHIND IN 4TH AT CHURCHILL DOWNS. TRACK SHOULD SUIT HIM BETTER HERE AND FLAVIEN PRAT RIDES THIS TRACK VERY WELL AND HAS A HANDY DRAW IN STALL 3. LOOKS A VALUE BET AT AROUND THE 4/1 MARK TO BEAT THE FAVOURITE. LOOKS A TWO HORSE RACE ON FORM BUT I SUPPOSE THERE COULD BE AN IMPROVER IN THE FIELD AND THE TOP TWO DID HAVE A TOUGH RACE IN THE DERBY.

FRANKIE DETTORI RIDES IMAGINATION FOR BOB BAFFERT AND GE COMES HERE IN FINE FETTLE HAVING FINISHED RUNNER-UP IN A GROUP 1 AT SANTA ANITA LAST MONTH.

HARD TO MAKE OUT A CASE FOR THE REST. OPINIONS WELCOMED. ENJOY.

GOOD LUCK. I THINK WHATEVER HAPPENS TONIGHT THAT NYSOS WILL STILL BE THE BEST 3YO IN THE US OF A.

I think you may be right about Nysos. Pity he suffered the injury which has held him up.

I like the Preakness tradition of the guy climbing up the pole and painting the jockey in the colours of the winner immediately after the race. Great stuff.

.... couldn`t happen here though. Health and Safety Crazy

Never saw that coming. Led all the way.

Big 2 finish 2nd and 3rd

Dropping way off the pace and trying to make up big distances late on is not a bright idea, especially on a sloppy track like that. Eejits.

The Pat Day Mile always produces a decent horse imo.

It sure does. Terrific front running performance by the winner. Hope you were on ELG.
