There are the usual impossible handicaps, plus a load of massive field novice races. Bookmakers must be opening the champagne already.

My Rouhiya winnings already being squandered. I have only backed Anariza in the closing bumper at Aintree. She's a first runner for Analifet who was useful and precocious. Hoping this one might be similar, but she's already weak in the market. Bit concerned that the horse I was thinking of backing at Kilbeggan is being well supported. Might have to bite the bullet. If I do you just know it will drift back out again.

Yes a completely horrible days racing with no real standouts. I did think that Lord Of Love at 50/1 was a ludicrous price for a trainer that has won the race twice in the last 5 years and for a horse that can be anything still after just one run at two. Have decided to go through tomorrow's cards instead!

Weather a pain as well, no idea what ground is likely to be, whether forecast rain will arrive or not, just too many factors not helping us punters atm.
