Very sad to hear that he's passed. Clearly had his own ideas about the game, but what a wonderfully talented fellow he was.

he had fewer ideas about the game than carberry on top of him, doddled in from the front late in his career after a career of carberry trying to put his head in front  on ther line

Sad to hear this raced in a very competitive era of 2 mile hurdlers and was a huge contributor to the most amazing race I’ve ever seen at Cheltenham.

More sad news native upmanship has also left us at the age of 31 ,if the Ryanair chase was around when he raced how many would he have won ?

Very sad to hear this too jimnast re Native Upmanship. What a brilliant horse he was for Arthur Moore over so many seasons.

On the Racing Post website there’s a lovely picture of him with his close pal Rhinestone Cowboy in a field at Coolmore where they both spent a very happy retirement.

My main recollection of that race was Alistair Down bellowing Morons at the top of his voice directed at the punters who were booing Carberry.
