Steps up in trip from 12F (Th'sk Sft, btn around 7Ls) on his seasonal debut, to 18F in this today.
2 runs back he got the better of todays mkt leader Aztec Empire who is(1LB) better in today by
a Nck (2M York G/F).He was also in front of him when they were both down the field @Haydock
on their next starts.Should be fitter today after the Thirsk run & the better ground should be more
to his liking.Got a decent draw to work from in (3),so has the jolly come to that (4), still unexposed
over this sort of trip,York win 1ST try over the 2Ms.Quite often up with the pace so hope he uses that
draw to get a good position.Takes to this track & does see out this type of trip, he should run well if
coming on from Thirsk.Got good E/W claims today.
Around 11s on here & 8/1 (5 & 6 Plcs) books generally.

i nearly posted a very similar view on the other chester cup thread, so agree and gl
Backed him last night.
I just thought he had his excuses up at York himself…not like he had a clean run through but still dug deep, rallied to the lead through a small enough gap and then fended off Aztec nicely on the tin to the line.
So my view was…he beat him once then why not a 2nd time.
