Real skewed look to these two bumpers. You could fancy six in the first division to beat the second division. Stand out on breeding is John Barbour (half brother to Gidleigh Park from the family of Denman) , but a few things preventing the bet: Walk In The Park swapped for ****, wouldn't trust Bowen a yard, and although George used to do well in these races, he has now lost the plot in pretty much all races.

Should have said a couple of bookmakers put Step Ahead in at 28/1 last night. Wonder how many pence they took at that price? A Cantillon home bred, and although he has landed a few touches, plenty have also gone west.

Race cut up a little. O'Neill replaced Bowen on John Barbour so one dodgepot for an even bigger one. Horse has travelled well, but O'Neill has got into an absolute mess up the straight, and instead of finishing a much a closer second, he has ended up third. He doesn't have anywhere near the scope of Gidleigh Park, but should be winning a race or two.

The winner had looked a stayer in his point, but was well supported and could be quite useful.
