Tattoos anywhere look hideous, but nobody in this world of diversity where nearly everything is deemed acceptable will ever say as much.
I think somehow Beckham turning his body into something akin to a lizard 'inspired' the culture. Unfortunately, nobody called him out as looking like a total plank. Not so long ago it would be a rarity to see presenters showing themselves off, but now they are happy to flaunt them. |

I work with a guy that has tattoos and also one on his neck.....hes far from an idiot but is currently paying a lot of money to have them removed.....he deeply regrets having them....something he foolishly did in his early 20s. We all make mistakes

Tattoos were the province of people who could get them and still remain employable, for instance matelots, dockers, builders, sailors and the like. This gave them an air of virility and transgression, which other people wanted to co-opt: in short they wanted to look tough and dangerous. Now that everyone is smothered in them, and most of them look ****, I find that tattoos are now a mark of conformism, denoting nothing but fashion victimhood.
