A bookie will always step up to sponsor a whole racing programme eg Sunday Racing or an entire Racing transmission eg ITV Racing, but they will not take a bet and openly contravenes the terms and conditions of a bookmaker eg to take bets. Until the Gambling Commission, the Levy Board (government), The BHA and Joe public get a grip this will continue with no impunity.

I'd like the above mentioned entities take appropriate actions eg Gambling Commission (a severe financial penalty linked to percentage of annual gross profit on offending bookie); Levy Board (contribution based on a percentage on bookies' annual gross profit); The BHA (reclaims horseracing autonomy from bookies); Joe public (voting with their feet eg boycotting any bookie employing this sharp practice).

As for online punters try to practise the above too because one day the same sharp practice will be upon you.
