Does anyone know what price Pisanello was when he put him up?
|
|
By:
Pisanello is shown at a best-priced 12/1 with Betfair Sportsbook and Paddy Power (coincidence!) in the price grid, so presumably 12/1.

By:
p/wise grid is pointless, Pisanello varied between 12/1 and 15/2.

Thanks to you both for that.

Ah, but Pisanello 12/1 is before Hiromichi (7/1) and Master Richard (12/1,14/1) were taken out so you'd be looking at a rule 4.

Interestingly the pair of them "really fancied" Carolus Magnus in the lucky last at skinmarket.
Yet they are contracted to tip televised races in which they may make a selection purely on that basis. Both of them were keen on Star Style in the 1K Guineas tomorrow. Around 16/1 but will be much shorter if they tip it up in the trade rags later. |

I suppose you might have considered throwing a few pence at Star Style at 25/1+, but not at the reduced price. How often does a horse win a maiden and then a Group race, let alone a Classic? Most will just disappoint next time. Even if she had the required ability her pedigree would suggest that she is a doubtful stayer.
