The most inappropriate name of the day. The day's good thing completely tailed off having looked like a one-paced carthorse. Easy game if you are a bookmaker. No surprise if they find nothing wrong with it.

Strung out like three mile chasers round Towcester but surprisingly the time was within a second of the RP standard. Tailwind?

A "slight tailwind" according to the RP.

What's the point of these Stewards Reports? Appleby said 'horse stumbled and was never travelling'. Well that's an eyeopener for everyone. Seriously, people want to know why he has travelled like a carthorse prompting Buick to go from his usual powder puff to quickly downing tools completely. I note that both Mulrennan and Stanley had the chance to ask Buick and Appleby about the run, but ducked the issue.

red hot jolly runs like that in hong kong they'll stick the trainer in the slammer until he comes up with a semi reasonable explanation ..

Yes, it's laughable. He hasn't even tried to explain the run. It's just a description of what happened.

So if someone does want to stop one just have a little stumble coming out the stalls and quote this. Job done.
