Its a sorry lorry morrie now on.

One of the very best episodes.

They don't write them like this anymore...

My fave episodes Second Hand Pose, High Drains Piferer, If Money Be The Food Of Love, Play On

PEAK Minder was series 4 and 5 ...trailed off after that and the Ray Daley years were especially forgettable.

I thought the young lad, Justin I think was his name in the programme, played a great part.

YEP he also starrred in a little known c4 sitcom with Matthew Kelly Relative Strangers that was pretty good, I watched it.  Johnny Jarvis too

Yes guys you're talking about Mark Farmer as Justin , sadly died of cancer aged just 53.

Mark Farmer played football-loving Gary Hargreaves in children's TV show
Appeared in the second to fourth series of Grange Hill, from 1979 to 1981
He went on to land the lead role in gritty BBC drama series Johnny Jarvis
Then cast as Arthur Daley's (George Cole) protégé Justin James in Minder

Sad

This particular episode was one of the best.

What Makes Shami Run will always be my favourite - it had the lot: a winning yankee, a baffled Chisolm, a man impersonating Roger Moore, and Arthur and Terry actually coming out ahead of the game at the end.

And it had a completely superfluous sub-plot with Daley's driving school, which would have been enough on its own to make any other series an all-time great.

The punch up between Terry and the scot played by Brian Cox on the double decker was a good un and the episode when they were giving out horse tips using the railway phones.

Let's turn this into a favourite Minder episodes...

For me, its the two with Anthony Valentine as a pro gambler...

First one in the card game with the Greeks (or is it Cypriots) and the second one where 'Maurice' operates the roulette system in the casino.

Priceless stuff where Maurice and Terry visit Sadie to seek out Maurice's missing wife...

Yes loved the Anthony Valentine episode  Grin

Liked the one when Sharon Duce brought the kid Peter down from the north and said Terry was his dad , some classic lines in this one , Peter asks Terry for a " butty " and Arthur referring to the kid as from " black pudding land " were a couple of great scenes  Grin

I always liked the very first episodes where they dug up the hidden money that had been stashed in the woods for years only to find it was all in notes that were no longer in circulation! Classic!! HappyGrinLaugh

Best moment was when Arthur had a dead body in a coffin in the lockup when a stray dog got under the covering sheet and panicked, thrashing about and howling like a ghoul. The look on Arthur's face as he passes out...Laugh

Famous quotes from Arthur Daley, a character from the TV show "Minder":

The episode with Jan Francis was on the other day. Arthur splits her and Terry up by hiring an escort. The scene where he approaches her and her mates, nervously agrees terms and then gets spotted on the way out of the venue is brilliant.

Just watched 'Self-inflicted Sid' taking his 'big chance' in It's a Sorry Lorry Morrie'!

For anyone interested there is a great site dedicated to Minder at https://www.minder.org/#

Loads of information on there and dozens of photos of places in Minder back then and how they are today (well, a few years back now).

Well worth a visit between races one day!
